Construct a medical college in every district under One District-One Medical College

The manifesto promised construction of a medical college in every district under One District-One Medical College. The Economic Review records five new colleges commencing in Baran, Banswara, Nagaur, Jhunjhunu and Sawai Madhopur in 2024-25, followed by colleges in Tonk and Jaisalmer in 2025-26. It also records 15 centrally sponsored colleges sanctioned at Rs 325 crore each with construction at different stages. This is meaningful expansion, but the official evidence does not establish an operational medical college in every current district and the statewide count includes private and centrally run institutions. Budget: RajMES received Rs 3,630.50 crore in 2025-26 up to December, of which Rs 1,116.95 crore was spent, and the 15 listed colleges each had a sanctioned project cost of Rs 325 crore.
