Treatment above Rs 5 lakh through CM Relief Fund

The manifesto promised that if Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries incur treatment expenditure above Rs 5 lakh, the state government would cover the extra expense through the Chief Minister Relief Fund. Approved sources confirm the underlying Ayushman Bharat framework and Madhya Pradesh health coverage expansion, including more than 4.46 crore Ayushman cards reported in 2026 budget coverage. However, no approved-source evidence was found in this pass for a notified state rule, portal, budget line or claim data showing automatic above-Rs-5-lakh top-up through the CM Relief Fund for all Ayushman beneficiaries. The normal Rs 5 lakh PM-JAY coverage cannot be treated as fulfilment of the above-cap promise. The verdict is pending because the add-on benefit remains unverified. Budget: Rs 2,139 crore provision for Ayushman Bharat was reported for 2026-27, but no allocation or utilisation was found for the promised CM Relief Fund top-up.
