Fill health vacancies and open district nursing colleges

The manifesto promised quick filling of doctor, nurse and paramedical vacancies, and nursing colleges in every district. Budget reporting in 2026 said recruitment was underway for 3,850 doctors and 1,256 nursing officers. Times of India also reported MPESB Nursing Officer Recruitment 2026 for 2,317 posts, including 2,099 nursing officer vacancies and 218 sister tutor posts. This supports real recruitment movement, but recruitment underway is not the same as all vacancies filled. The Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council page confirms more than 450 nursing schools and colleges under the council, but no approved-source evidence was found that every district has a nursing college or that the promised district-level expansion has been completed. The verdict is partial because the staffing component has measurable movement while the district nursing-college component remains unverified. Budget: health allocations exist, but no utilisation evidence for completing all vacancy filling or every-district nursing colleges was found.
