Our Assessment

high

PM JANMAN (launched 15 November 2023, total outlay about Rs 24,104 crore over 2023-24 to 2025-26; Centre Rs 15,336 crore) is a convergence mission across 9 line ministries and 11 interventions for 75 PVTG groups across 18 states and A&N Islands. Reported progress (as of mid-2025): 4.6 lakh PMAY-G houses sanctioned with 1.36 lakh completed; about 1.2 lakh of 1.43 lakh unelectrified households connected; 332 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras operational; hostels and multipurpose centres under construction; and large-scale Aadhaar/Jan Dhan/Ayushman saturation drives. Substantial delivery is under way, but full socio-economic parity (the pledge’s goal) is not yet achieved. Partial.
