PM Awas Yojana guidelines include provisions for persons with disabilities — preference in beneficiary selection, ground-floor allotment and accessibility features — and disability-focused schemes such as SEED route housing assistance for eligible families through PMAY convergence. We will expand the network of Garima Grahas to cater to the needs of transgender individuals. We will issue identity cards to ensure their recognition nationwide. Furthermore, all eligible transgender individuals will be covered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
We will continue developing affordable, indigenous aids and assistive devices to make Bharat atmanirbhar in such equipment.
We have started ‘Namaste Yojana’ for Safai Karamcharis which in addition to other welfare schemes have ensured safety, respect and livelihood for Safai Karamcharis. We will continue to expand these initiatives.
