The PM-SURAJ (Pradhan Mantri Samajik Utthan evam Rozgar Adharit Jankalyan) national portal was launched on 13 March 2024 as a single-window, DBT-based credit platform for entrepreneurs from SC, ST, OBC, Safai Karamchari and other disadvantaged groups, integrated with banks and NBFC-MFIs. In FY2024-25 it disbursed about Rs 1,389.61 crore in loans to roughly 1.39 lakh entrepreneurs, exceeding its initial target of one lakh beneficiaries. Fulfilled (with continued lending).
