Efforts toward senior digital empowerment exist: the RBI runs nationwide digital-payments awareness and fraud-prevention campaigns (e.g. RBI Kehta Hai, e-BAAT) on safe UPI/online usage, and 2025 reporting noted a government digital assistance/learning push for older adults. However, a dedicated, at-scale government programme specifically training senior citizens in UPI and scam-recognition is only partially evidenced, with much hands-on training delivered by NGOs (e.g. HelpAge India). Partial: direction and general awareness programmes are in place; a seniors-specific national training programme is not yet clearly established.
