mediumDelivery is under way through Mission Shakti, where the Working Women Hostel scheme and the National Creche (Palna) component sit under the Samarthya sub-scheme. Under Palna, about 14,599 Anganwadi-cum-Creches had been approved across states and UTs (Rajya Sabha reply, July 2025), against a target of 17,000 by FY2025-26, with creche provision also nudging Maternity Benefit Act compliance for larger establishments. Provision specifically near industrial and commercial centres is only partially addressed. Partial.
