“We will strengthen the Emergency Response Support System and enhance the capabilities of Emergency 112.”
The Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112) operates round-the-clock and, alongside Women Helpline-181, links women to police, hospitals, legal services and One Stop Centres, with the Women Helpline (181/1090) being integrated under 112 for seamless response. Supporting infrastructure has been strengthened (e.g. the Mission Shakti Portal launched January 2025). Enhancement is ongoing and the system is operational nationwide; full capability upgrades are a continuing process. Partial.
