Continue constructing and maintaining public toilets for women

Construction has continued strongly: as of September 2025, over 12 crore toilets had been built under the Swachh Bharat Mission, and SBM-Urban 2.0 (continued to 2025-26) includes individual, community and public toilets with prioritised provision for women. The "construct" element of the pledge is being actively delivered; the "maintain" element (sustained upkeep and functionality of public toilets) remains the weaker, less consistently evidenced part.
