What does this status mean?
The term is active and there is no evidence of action or reversal.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“Building Water Aerodromes in tourist destinations such as Ambaji, Palitana and Tapi.”
Our Assessment
The named destinations are examples in the manifesto, not a fixed three-site count. An Airports Authority of India inventory dated 16 January 2026 listed Gujarat's water aerodromes at Sabarmati Riverfront and the Statue of Unity—both predating the 2022 election—and did not list a site at Ambaji, Palitana or Tapi. A separate parliamentary reply likewise counted only those two Gujarat water aerodromes. The reviewed records therefore do not verify a newly built tourist water aerodrome at any named site; related pre-existing facilities are not credited as delivery.
The reasoning behind the verdict
Why this assessment?
Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why pending?
The 2026 AAI inventory and ministry reply identify only two Gujarat water aerodromes, both pre-election and at different locations. No post-election operational water aerodrome at a named tourist destination was verified, so this component is Pending.
02 · Strength of evidence
Why low confidence?
Official inventories establish what is listed, but they do not rule out unlisted planning or construction at the named sites. The delivery verdict is Low confidence.
What would help us reassess?
The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.
- Site-specific sanction and environmental and DGCA clearances for Ambaji, Palitana, Tapi or substitute tourist sites
- Construction contracts and completion certificates for new water aerodromes
- Operational licences, flights and passenger records after the 2022 election
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.
