Provide all-weather roads and adequate drainage in every tribal village

What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“Ensure that every tribal village has all-weather pucca roads and an adequate drainage system”
Our Assessment
Road and sanitation services reach tribal areas, with continuing rural infrastructure delivery. Parliament's July 2026 PMGSY reply records 739 connected habitations and 1,776 km completed in Dahod constituency cumulatively, alongside continuing Gujarat road works. An August 2025 drainage reply reports facilities in 16,018 of 17,973 Gujarat villages, but does not identify drain type or tribal-village coverage. These are relevant services under equivalent programmes. The Dahod total includes pre-election work, and statewide drainage coverage does not prove adequate drainage in every tribal village. A combined village-by-village inventory confirming both an all-weather pucca road and functioning drainage remains unavailable. The universal two-part pledge is Partially Done.
The reasoning behind the verdict
Why this assessment?
Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why partially done?
Relevant road and drainage services are established, but universal delivery of both amenities across all tribal villages is not demonstrated.
02 · Strength of evidence
Why medium confidence?
Parliamentary records provide credible service data while explicitly limiting the geographic, temporal and drainage-type comparisons.
What would help us reassess?
The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.
- A defined list of all tribal villages and a road-plus-drainage coverage inventory
- Post-2022 newly connected villages and drainage works, separated from baseline assets
- Functionality and monsoon-access checks for each village
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.

Promise Timeline
