Original manifesto wording
“We will construct a Birsa Munda Adi Jati Samriddhi Corridor between Ambaji and Umergram to spur growth by: • Connecting every tribal district’s headquarters with a 4-6 lane state highway • Constructing a tribal cultural circuit connecting Pal Dadhvaav and the Statue of Unity to Shabari Dham • Attracting investment and employment in forest-based industries to ensure 100% utilisation of the forest economy • Promoting tribal tourism by keeping tribal culture at the heart”
Our Assessment
The complete corridor pledge spans printed pages 44–45 and includes highway links, a named cultural circuit, forest-industry investment/employment and tribal tourism. Official NH-56 records verify real four-laning in tribal areas, including sections under construction since November 2025 and further approvals in February 2026. These works are relevant, but their published alignment does not establish 4–6 lane state-highway connections to every tribal district headquarters along Ambaji–Umargam. Van Dhan enterprise support and tribal tourism promotion also provide related activity, without demonstrating the specified corridor or the Pal Dadhvaav–Statue of Unity–Shabari Dham circuit. Differently named projects would count if their routes and delivered functions matched. That substantive match, forest-economy utilisation and the complete integrated package remain unverified, so the corridor remains Pending.
The reasoning behind the verdict
Why this assessment?
Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why pending?
Related tribal-area highways, enterprise support and tourism promotion exist, but the promised route, all-headquarters connectivity and specified cultural/forest-economic corridor have not been demonstrated.
NH-56 widening is real construction in tribal areas but the source does not identify it as the promised Ambaji–Umargam state-highway corridor or the Pal Dadhvaav–Statue of Unity–Shabari Dham cultural circuit.
02 · Strength of evidence
Why low confidence?
Primary sources establish adjacent programmes, while alignment, construction and outcome records covering the actual integrated corridor remain limited.
What would help us reassess?
The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.
- A government-approved Ambaji–Umargam corridor alignment naming all tribal district headquarters
- Construction contracts and physical progress for the promised 4–6 lane state highway
- An approved route, works and visitor facilities for the Pal Dadhvaav–Statue of Unity–Shabari Dham cultural circuit
- Corridor-linked forest-industry investment, tribal employment and utilisation evidence
- Tribal tourism projects and community benefits along the promised corridor
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.
