Our Assessment
Gujarat Police has introduced operational drone use and pilot deployments, including GP-DRASTI for rapid response and aerial surveillance. April 2025 reporting described police drone use in multiple districts and a first-phase programme for Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot. BPR&D's policing journal also records the initiative. This demonstrates real adoption after the election. The programme's reported urban crime-response scope does not establish extensive delivery across all the manifesto's coastal, border, crowd, disaster and traffic functions.
