What does this status mean?
The stated commitment has been substantively delivered, supported by evidence.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will bring a new Shipbuilding Policy to position Gujarat as an ideal destination for shipbuilding with incentives, government support, ancillary units and skilled manpower.”
Our Assessment
Gujarat launched its Shipbuilding and Repair Policy 2026 on 27 July 2026, replacing the older policy framework with incentives and a shipbuilding ecosystem plan. Union records also describe in-principle support for a Porbandar shipbuilding cluster and Vadinar repair facility. The central manifesto action was to bring a new policy, and that action is delivered. Planned yards, suppliers and training benefits require later assessment as policy outcomes.

Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why fulfilled?

02 · Strength of evidence
Why high confidence?
The policy appears in the state policy repository and its launch is documented by public broadcasting and the Union shipping ministry.
