Construct the Tapi Riverfront in record time

The Tapi Riverfront commitment has an implementing corporation, a master-plan process and active project preparation. The World Bank's February 2025 concept document described support for implementing the Tapi Riverfront Rejuvenation Plan, including flood resilience, sanitation and public spaces. Surat Municipal Corporation continues to describe the approximately 33-km riverfront project under planning and tendering. These are concrete preparatory steps, but we could not verify completed substantive works or a commissioned continuous riverfront under the promised project. The promise therefore remains Pending; the phrase 'record time' has no measurable deadline in the manifesto.
