Our Assessment
On track, but not fulfilled. The promise is to set up Wi-Fi hotspots across Goa to provide internet connectivity covering all of Goa. Official Startup Goa material says Goa Broadband Network has 414 Points of Presence, connectivity extends to over 1,500 government and educational institutions, free Wi-Fi in public spaces is being provided at 150 identified locations with 30 Mbps bandwidth, and Goa's workation/digital nomad ecosystem includes over 130 public Wi-Fi hotspots. This confirms substantial progress on public Wi-Fi hotspots, but does not prove full internet connectivity coverage for all of Goa. Status on_track.
