Revamp bird parks and wildlife sanctuaries for wildlife tourism

Goa Budget 2025-26 states that all six wildlife sanctuaries, Bondla, Bhagwan Mahavir, Cotigao, Mhadei, Netravali and Salim Ali, will be promoted through nature trails, eco-tourism activities and cottages as part of Goa Beyond Beaches. It also records proposed works at Bondla and Chorao and wider forest-tourism activity involving eco-parks, cottages and local experiences. These constitute concrete policy and project action towards wildlife tourism. However, the budget announcements remain substantially forward-looking, and no approved source confirms completed revamping of bird parks and all six sanctuaries, upgraded visitor facilities throughout the network or measured diversification of tourist arrivals.
