Help us verify“We will incentivise sustainable fishing by creating a programme to recy-cle fishing utilities that will also provide items at a lower cost to fisher-men of the state.”
Pending. The promise requires a programme that collects, recycles, refurbishes or otherwise reuses fishing utilities and makes resulting items available to fishermen at a lower cost. Equivalent delivery under another programme name would count if both the recycling mechanism and lower-cost benefit were present. Goa's current fisheries schemes provide assistance for purchasing fishing nets, equipment, accessories and other fisheries requisites. However, subsidising newly purchased gear is not equivalent to recycling used fishing utilities. No approved source found confirms a notified recycling programme, collection centres for discarded fishing gear, recycling or refurbishment contracts, processed recycled material, or distribution of recycled fishing utilities to fishermen at reduced prices. Status pending.

To ensure the proper disposal of bio-medical waste produced in the state, we will enhance the capabilities of existing Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Plants, to ensure it is prepared to meet future demands.
To create a value chain for garbage, provide employment to local youth and also solve Goa's garbage pile-up issue, we will introduce the Goa Mu-nicipal Waste Management and Disposal Policy on the lines of sustain-able development goals.
