Our Assessment

Technology adoption in fisheries is being promoted under PMMSY: drones for transport of fish/aquaculture products and for surveillance/logistics in aquaculture operations (showcased at World Food India 2025), disease-reducing systems such as Recirculatory Aquaculture Systems (RAS) and Biofloc (with 12,000 RAS units approved), and disease-management infrastructure including an Aquatic Disease Referral Laboratory and biosecurity protocols. These are being scaled across the sector. Partial.
