The government took steps after the grade-pay dispute, including reported creation of Additional SI/Head Constable posts and a one-time payment framework, but later litigation still sought Rs 4,600 grade pay and arrears. Some remedial steps were taken, but the underlying Rs 4,600 grade-pay dispute was not cleanly resolved for all affected police personnel. Budget: Pay/promotion liability exists; no clean full grade-pay settlement allocation isolated.
