A PPP contract was signed in 2023 for a Janki Chatti/Kharsali-Yamunotri ropeway, but 2026 reporting indicated the ropeway plan remained stalled. Contract-level progress exists, but the ropeway was not operational. Budget: Later PPP project cost reported around ₹166.82 crore.
We will stimulate local economic development and enhance basic services in Rural Uttarakhand through the expansion of the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Cluster Program from the current 6 clusters to a total of 10 clusters.
We will create a Panchayat Level Infrastructure Development Program and give ₹ 1 Crore over 5 years for infrastructure spending as deemed necessary by the panchayats.
Establish robust waste disposal systems in every village in association with the Swachh Bharat Mission.
