The Union Cabinet approved the larger Govindghat-Hemkund Sahib ropeway under Parvatmala, covering the same access corridor, but construction/operation is not complete. The route objective is partly advanced through the approved Hemkund Sahib ropeway, but the promised route is not yet delivered. Budget: Cabinet-approved Govindghat-Hemkund Sahib ropeway cost: ₹2,730.13 crore, higher than manifesto estimate.
We will stimulate local economic development and enhance basic services in Rural Uttarakhand through the expansion of the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Cluster Program from the current 6 clusters to a total of 10 clusters.
We will create a Panchayat Level Infrastructure Development Program and give ₹ 1 Crore over 5 years for infrastructure spending as deemed necessary by the panchayats.
Establish robust waste disposal systems in every village in association with the Swachh Bharat Mission.
