Our Assessment

Bank linkage for women SHGs is active under DAY-NRLM/USRLM, and central data show large cumulative loans to women SHGs; however, Uttarakhand-specific evidence for loans up to ₹20 lakh to women-only SHGs was not cleanly verified. The bank-linkage objective is real, but the ₹20 lakh promised ceiling/coverage for Uttarakhand women-only SHGs is not fully evidenced. Budget: Credit linkage operates through banks and NRLM systems; no Uttarakhand ₹20 lakh loan ceiling allocation isolated.
