Tap water connectivity for all households
Bharatiya Janata Party · Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Election 2022
Last updated 27 Jun 2026
“Provide tap water connectivity for all households through the Har Ghar Nal Se Jal scheme.”
Our Assessment
highThe promise was universal tap water connectivity for all households. A July 2025 Rajya Sabha answer said Uttarakhand reported 14.14 lakh of 14.49 lakh rural households with tap water supply as on 22 July 2025, or 97.63 percent, and that the state planned 100 percent FHTC coverage by December 2025. This is strong progress but not fulfilled on the latest approved-source figure found because the verified count is below 100 percent and the answer itself acknowledges remaining deprived households. Budget status: Jal Jeevan Mission and state implementation funding exist; this row uses budget_allocated true because the programme is funded and active.
Promise Timeline
The same answer recorded Uttarakhand planned to achieve 100 percent FHTC coverage by December 2025; this should be updated if a later official 100 percent certificate is found.
