“Piped gas connection to households in 20 cities to provide safe, uninterrupted and economical gas supply in a time-bound manner.”
The promise was household piped gas connections in 20 cities. A Lok Sabha answer says PNG household connections are delivered by PNGRB-authorised CGD entities, not directly by the state, and shows six Uttarakhand-related geographical areas with 93,047 achieved domestic PNG connections as on 31 January 2025 against a pro-rata target of 254,235. This proves real PNG rollout, but not 20 cities with household connections in a time-bound manner, and several hill-district GAs had negligible or zero achieved connections in that table. The verdict is partial because the clean-fuel objective is progressing through CGD, but the 20-city promise is not verified. Budget status: no state promise-specific budget allocation found; CGD rollout is entity/regulator driven.
