Crop-loss mitigation from wildlife conflict

Approved sources show multiple concrete mitigation steps after the manifesto period: PIB said Uttarakhand raised crop-damage concerns and central MIDH support would fund fencing; Sansad listed supported activities such as early-warning systems, barbed wire, solar-powered electric fencing, bio-fencing, boundary walls, crop-damage compensation and Rapid Response Teams; TOI reported Uttarakhand measures including district-level sterilisation and rehabilitation centres, AI-powered early-warning systems, solar fencing and sensor-based alerts, and Rs 5 crore for forest department equipment. Because the promise required steps rather than a specified reduction target, the delivery is marked fulfilled. Budget status: funding/support for fencing and forest-response equipment is verified.
