“We will provide a grant of ₹5 lakhs for every new Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) and earmark a 15% quota for FPOs in public procurement.”
The promise had two parts: Rs 5 lakh grant for every new FPO and a 15 percent FPO quota in public procurement. The central FPO scheme provides financial assistance up to Rs 18 lakh per FPO for three years, matching equity grant up to Rs 15 lakh per FPO, and credit guarantee up to Rs 2 crore. That partially serves the FPO-capacity objective. However, I did not find approved-source evidence of a Uttarakhand-specific Rs 5 lakh grant for every new FPO or a 15 percent public-procurement quota for FPOs. Budget status: central FPO assistance exists, but no state grant or procurement-quota allocation verified.
PIB factsheet described central FPO support including management assistance, matching equity grant and credit guarantee, but not Uttarakhand-specific Rs 5 lakh grants or a 15 percent procurement quota.
