“We will invest ₹8,000 crores over the next 10 years to expand the use of drip and sprinkler irrigation techniques under the Per Drop More Crop scheme.”
The promise was a large 10-year Rs 8,000 crore investment to expand drip and sprinkler irrigation under Per Drop More Crop. Uttarakhand Agriculture Department lists PMKSY as an active scheme aimed at developing irrigation facilities, increasing irrigated area and making optimum use of every drop of water. That partially matches the irrigation-efficiency objective. However, I did not find approved-source evidence of a Uttarakhand-specific Rs 8,000 crore investment plan or achieved spending at that scale after the 2022 manifesto. Budget status: PMKSY is active, but no promise-specific Rs 8,000 crore allocation verified.
Uttarakhand Agriculture Department listed PMKSY as an active scheme for irrigation expansion and efficient water use, but without evidence of the promised Rs 8,000 crore state investment.
