“We will complete construction of Ayodhya International Airport.”
Our Assessment
Fulfilled for the core airport construction commitment. Phase 1 opened on 30 December 2023, and Parliament subsequently documented passenger operations and the completed runway and terminal. The airport is delivering an operational service. Later runway and terminal expansion is a separate continuing phase; this rating does not imply that every planned expansion or international route has been completed. Previous review (2026-06-10): Delivered. The newly built Ayodhya Airport, named Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on 30 December 2023 according to PIB. Marked fulfilled.
