Hold annual handloom and handicraft fairs in all major cities

The manifesto promised annual handloom and handicraft fairs in every major city to promote products such as Sanganeri block print, Kota Doria and Jodhpuri Bandhej and provide market linkages. Rajasthan’s Amrita Haat programme organised 10 haats benefiting 1,270 self-help groups during 2025-26 up to December, with Rs 76.95 lakh spent from an allotment of Rs 1.80 crore. The Khadi Board’s Marketing Development Assistance programme separately records three exhibitions in 2024-25 and targets four exhibitions in 2026-27. These programmes partly match the market-access and fair-based delivery mechanism, but they do not prove an annual handloom and handicraft fair in every major city or specific statewide coverage of the named craft traditions. The promise is therefore partial rather than fulfilled. Budget: Amrita Haat used Rs 76.95 lakh from Rs 1.80 crore during 2025-26 up to December, and the Khadi Board has a separate Rs 1.80 crore exhibition allocation for 2026-27.
