One thousand new FPOs with financial support

The manifesto promised 1,000 new FPOs with financial assistance up to Rs 18 lakh per FPO and credit guarantee up to Rs 5 crore. PIB confirms that under the central 10,000 FPO scheme, the national target was achieved and each new FPO can receive up to Rs 18 lakh in management-cost assistance, plus equity grant and credit guarantee support. However, the credit guarantee cited by PIB is up to Rs 2 crore of project loan per FPO, not Rs 5 crore, and no approved-source evidence was found in this pass for 1,000 new Madhya Pradesh FPOs after the manifesto. Budget: the central FPO scheme is funded, but no MP-specific allocation or utilisation for 1,000 new FPOs was found.
