Our Assessment

medium

A framework to channel startup procurement is being built. AIM 2.0 includes the Atal Sectoral Innovation Launchpads (ASIL) programme, which aims to establish 10 iDEX-like platforms across central ministries to integrate and procure from startups in key sectors, building on existing defence (iDEX) and railways procurement initiatives, while the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Startup Runway provides relaxed procurement norms for DPIIT-recognised startups. The pledge to prepare a strong procurement framework is in progress but still maturing across ministries. Partial.
