Make Bharat a trusted global manufacturing hub and value-chain partner

Manufacturing is being promoted through Make in India and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes across 14 sectors, which have raised output and exports in areas such as electronics and mobile phones (with India becoming a major smartphone exporter), pharmaceuticals and others, alongside regulatory simplification, infrastructure (industrial corridors, PM GatiShakti) and a large R&D/innovation push. India is increasingly positioned in global value chains, but becoming a "trusted global manufacturing hub" is a continuing trajectory rather than a realised end-state, and manufacturing’s share of GDP has yet to rise substantially.
