Support green transition in steel, cement, metals and engineering goods

The government is supporting decarbonisation of core industries: a National Green Steel Mission/green steel taxonomy has been advanced to define and promote low-emission steel, green-hydrogen use in steelmaking is being piloted under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, and energy-efficiency (PAT) and emissions-intensity measures apply to cement and metals.
