The Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) has expanded to over 15,000-16,000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras selling affordable generic medicines (at large discounts to branded prices), against a target of 25,000 kendras. The product basket and consumer savings have grown significantly. The expansion pledge is in active delivery, with the 25,000 target still to be reached. Partial (strong action).
We will strengthen our traditional means including Yoga and Meditation, and also enhance the scope and coverage of mental health initiatives like Manas and Manodarpan.
We will strengthen the efforts being made to increase the training capacity for paramedics, technicians, pharmacists and nurses.
We will encourage and extend support to Bharatiya vaccine manufacturers and biopharma companies in various capacities to boost production and distribution and aim to reduce our timeline for vaccine manufacturing.
