The AIIMS network has expanded substantially under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, with around 22 of 26 sanctioned AIIMS at least partly operational (offering MBBS and/or OPD/IPD services) and the remainder under development. Strengthening of existing AIIMS (faculty, super-speciality services, capacity) continues. As an ongoing network-strengthening commitment, it is in active delivery rather than complete. Partial.
We will strengthen our traditional means including Yoga and Meditation, and also enhance the scope and coverage of mental health initiatives like Manas and Manodarpan.
We will strengthen the efforts being made to increase the training capacity for paramedics, technicians, pharmacists and nurses.
We will encourage and extend support to Bharatiya vaccine manufacturers and biopharma companies in various capacities to boost production and distribution and aim to reduce our timeline for vaccine manufacturing.
