“We have started using nano-urea to ensure continued soil fertility in Indian farmlands. We will further expand access to and encourage adoption of Nano Urea.”
Nano fertilisers are being scaled with government backing: indigenous Nano Urea (liquid) production capacity has expanded with multiple plants, and Nano DAP has been introduced, promoted as cost-effective, import-reducing and soil-friendly alternatives distributed via PM-KSKs and cooperatives (IFFCO). Adoption is being actively encouraged through demonstrations and subsidised pricing. However, farmer uptake is still building and the agronomic efficacy of nano urea relative to conventional urea remains under scientific discussion, so the "expand access and adoption" pledge is in progress rather than fully realised. Partial.
We will introduce drones, biosecurity measures and advanced disease-management technologies to strengthen aquaculture and protect the fisheries sector.
We will leverage satellite imagery and communication technology to enhance the safety of our fishermen at sea, providing timely alerts and information.
We will establish Nucleus Breeding Centres and Brood Banks to ensure availability of quality fish seed and broodstock for self-reliance in the fisheries sector.
