Our Assessment
Gujarat continues to assess crop damage and pay farmers relief after natural calamities. The state's 2025–26 Socio-Economic Review reports ₹1,491.23 crore paid to 8.04 lakh affected farmers in 2024–25 and ₹9,848.42 crore to more than 36.48 lakh farmers in 2025–26 up to December 2025. This is real delivery of crop-loss assistance. However, available aggregate records do not show assessment-to-payment times by incident or demonstrate that the payments were made specifically under Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana.
