Give five free bee boxes and apiculture training to 10,000 farmers
Bharatiya Janata Party · Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2022

What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will give 5 free-of-cost boxes of bees for honey production to 10,000 farmers, along with proper training in apiculture.”
Our Assessment
Gujarat has documented post-election beekeeping activity, including beekeeper training and distribution of bee boxes. NDDB's 2023-24 report describes a Valsad beekeeper FPO with 316 members, scientific beekeeping training and 2,370 bee boxes. KVIC reported 200 boxes and colonies distributed in Radhanpur, Patan, in March 2025. These show activity but do not establish that each of 10,000 farmers received five boxes free of cost plus training. The wider central schemes and the pre-election Mission Madhmakhi must not be counted automatically as fulfilment of this precise pledge. No defensible completed-farmer count is available, so no progress percentage is shown.
The reasoning behind the verdict
Why this assessment?
Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why partially done?
Bee boxes have been distributed in Gujarat and training has occurred, so some delivery related to the pledge is documented. Available records do not show a verified cohort of 10,000 farmers receiving five free boxes each together with training. The commitment is therefore partially delivered on present evidence.
The 10,000-farmer target is recorded, but no progress bar is shown because the available bee-box totals cannot be converted into qualifying farmer beneficiaries.
02 · Strength of evidence
Why medium confidence?
NDDB and the Union government's KVIC release are direct institutional sources for specific activity. They do not provide beneficiary-level records for this manifesto package, and the Radhanpur release gives box totals rather than a count of farmers who received exactly five free boxes.
What would help us reassess?
The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.
- District-wise lists of post-election beneficiaries receiving five free bee boxes each
- Government order and expenditure records identifying the programme and its per-farmer entitlement
- Training attendance matched to the bee-box recipients
- Cumulative verified beneficiary count against the 10,000-farmer target
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.
