What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will establish 6 Stree Vandana Super Speciality Centres specialising in Gynaecology and Obstetrics.”
Our Assessment
The 2025–26 state review reports 20 functioning obstetric intensive-care centres in medical-college hospitals. These provide relevant specialist maternal care and receive credit even under a different name. However, an obstetric ICU is not automatically equivalent to a complete gynaecology and obstetrics super-speciality centre. The reviewed records do not identify six commissioned facilities meeting that full scope. No six-of-six completion figure is inferred.
The reasoning behind the verdict
Why this assessment?
Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why partially done?
Functioning specialist obstetric care is relevant progress; the six full-scope centres remain unverified.
02 · Strength of evidence
Why medium confidence?
Relevant delivery evidence exists, but complete scope, coverage or independent verification remains limited.
What would help us reassess?
The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.
- Six named operational centres with commissioning dates
- Staffing, gynaecology and obstetrics services, referral and patient records
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.
