Our Assessment
A July 2022 parliamentary reply recorded 20 geriatric wards and 24 physiotherapy units in Gujarat under an existing programme. This provides relevant baseline care, but predates the manifesto. The reviewed evidence did not verify a new ₹160 crore corpus or separate geriatric specialisation units operating in every district hospital. Existing wards are not counted as new post-election delivery.
