Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will ensure that people can access quality health services at their fingertips through the scaling up of Tele-Consultation including Tele-Counseling and Tele-Therapy. Under this, we will: • Ensure easy access to medicine at the doorstep in rural areas”
Our Assessment
In June 2026, Gujarat dispatched 51 two-wheeler mobile health units and nine health vans to 14 districts for tribal and remote-area care, including essential medicines and primary equipment. These are relevant last-mile services. They do not demonstrate easy medicine access for all rural residents or routine delivery of prescriptions issued through teleconsultation. Coverage, medicine stocks and completed household deliveries remain unverified.
