What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will ensure that one medical college with an attached multispeciality government hospital is there in every district.”
Our Assessment
Gujarat continues to expand medical education: a December 2025 parliamentary reply records two new colleges in the 2025–26 session. Official college listings establish an extensive existing network. College counts alone do not demonstrate one in every district, and a private college's attached hospital is not automatically the promised government multispeciality hospital. A district-by-district reconciliation of both facilities is still needed.
The reasoning behind the verdict
Why this assessment?
Reviewed
01 · Delivery status
Why partially done?
New colleges show progress; the combined college-and-government-hospital requirement is not verified in every district.
02 · Strength of evidence
Why medium confidence?
Identifiable delivery or administrative action is documented, but full scope or coverage remains unverified.
