Our Assessment

Gujarat has funded specialist hospital facilities and delivered upgrades, including dialysis and critical-care capacity at Surat Civil Hospital in September 2026. These count under alternative budget heads. The distinct ₹10,000-crore fund, two additional AIIMS-grade institutes and three full-scope new Medicities remain unverified. District cancer-care expansion is underway. AIIMS Rajkot was a pre-manifesto project and is not counted as an additional institute.
