What does this status mean?
Meaningful delivery has occurred, but the stated commitment is incomplete.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We will create a ₹10,000 crore Maharaja Shri Bhagvatsinhji Swasthya Kosh, revolutionising the healthcare sector, under which we will: • Launch the Gujarat Cancer Care Programme by establishing accessible Cancer Care Centres in every district in a phased manner”
Our Assessment
The Union government approved day-care cancer centres in seven Gujarat districts for 2025–26: Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Surendranagar, Dahod and Valsad. This is relevant expansion under another programme, but approvals do not prove all centres opened. Accessible, functioning cancer-care centres in every district remain unverified. National centre totals cannot be treated as Gujarat's delivered coverage.
