Enable women Self-Help Groups to establish apiaries

On track, but not fulfilled. The promise requires an enabling framework through which women Self-Help Groups can establish apiaries. The Goa State Amritkal Agriculture Policy 2025 recognises apiculture as an allied agricultural activity and provides that establishment of beekeeping units in integrated farming systems will be facilitated. The policy also provides capital-investment subsidy support for beekeeping, additional incentives for women agri-entrepreneurs and credit support for Self-Help Groups. Separately, the 2025 Governor's Address reported sanction of 29 proposals covering 60 bee boxes under the Promotion for Beekeeping Scheme. These measures constitute concrete policy and programme action capable of supporting apiary establishment. However, no approved source found identifies the sanctioned beneficiaries as women SHGs or confirms establishment of operational apiaries by women-led groups.
