The promise is to establish two new medical colleges through public-private partnership or an equivalent delivery model that creates two additional medical colleges and expands the supply of trained medical professionals. Goa Budget 2023-24 announced a medical college at South Goa District Hospital. The subsequent official action-taken report stated that this medical college remained under consideration by the government.
