Encourage translation of Konkani literature into other languages

The 2025-26 Budget records that the Government is undertaking translation initiatives from Konkani and provides institutional funding to Goa Konkani Akademi, Dalgado Konkani Akademi, Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Konkani Parishad and related language bodies. These measures constitute concrete support capable of encouraging translation and wider dissemination. The Directorate of Official Language also provides translation services, but its routine work primarily concerns government documents, laws, schemes, websites and administrative material rather than literary works. No approved source found provides a systematic list of Konkani books translated into other Indian or international languages after the election, a dedicated literary-translation grant or clearly documented translation outputs at statewide scale.
