Subsidise agricultural implements and equipment for small and marginal farmers

Fulfilled. The commitment is to make purchase subsidies for agricultural implements and farm equipment available to small and marginal farmers. The current Directorate of Agriculture scheme framework provides 50 percent assistance under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization specifically to small and marginal farmers, women farmers and SC/ST farmers. State schemes also provide subsidies for machinery, equipment and implements or attachments. The 2026 Governor's Address reports that 982 farmers received assistance for purchasing new agricultural machinery and equipment during 2025-26 up to November 2025, involving expenditure of Rs 199.01 lakh. The manifesto did not prescribe a minimum subsidy percentage, number of beneficiaries or requirement that assistance operate under a new scheme. The promised benefit is active and has been delivered after the election. Status fulfilled.
